Douglas Andrew Graham is an actor, educator, and theatre artist from Kansas City. A graduate of Drake University with a BFA in Acting, he began his career as an actor and education artist with The Atlanta Shakespeare Company. During his time in Atlanta, in addition to Atlanta Shakespeare, he has performed with The Alliance Theatre, Dad’s Garage, Horizon Theatre, ART Station and Aris Theatre to name a few. Additional performances in Seattle include such companies as Book-It Repertory, Thalia’s Umbrella and Second Story Repertory.
As an educator, Douglas specializes in acting, Shakespeare, monologues and auditioning curricula for students of all ages. Douglas founded The Fern Shakespeare Company in 2012 and became the Producing Artistic Director, where he developed and managed year-round theatrical programs and productions, designed and led theatre outreach initiatives, and directed and produced many of his favorite Shakespeare plays including Hamlet, Othello, Macbeth and 12th Night.
He served as the venue manager of The Slate Theatre, a small black box theatre located inside the Insccape Arts building in SoDo Seattle, where he led renovations of the space including adding a brand new dressing room and air conditioning.
In addition to his theatre work, Douglas is a voice over actor, playwright and amateur photographer.
